I'll post pics of those as soon as I find my darning needle so I can tuck the ends in and they look a bit less messy. For now, I secretly photographed the latch hook so you can have a peek at it. Max is helping, as usual.
Before I left I hadn't finished the left section all the way to the top, and hadn't started the next section at all. So I did get a fair amount done.
one for you and one for Max. Good to see your four footed assistant also.

And since learning how to do beads better from our wonderful members, I re-did the beads on the "A" as well with a full cross. It's significantly better.
And I got a fair bit done on the hummingbird. It's a Dimensions Gold collection so there are many colour changes and lots of backstitching. It seemed a chore at first, but as it's fleshing out a bit more I'm really starting to like it. The only part I still don't like much is the 1 over 1 instead of 2 over 1. But I decided to stick with the kit's instructions for now. There's some Krenik blending filament in the hummingbird's body and there's more to come. I found it much easier to work with than the DMC metallics. It didn't fray or separate and I changed colour a few times with the same strand of blending filament.
They are all looking so good. I love the hummingbird. and the letters are really pretty.

I owe that to your thread about using a full cross or a half stitch. I never thought about it, and then when I tried the full cross to better secure the beads I realized they would all line up now and look much better, so I redid the other one too!
