I figured this was a perfect starter kit to get me back into the cross stitching niche. And plus it was cute and made me giggle when I saw it. It's part of the "for Dummies" line.
Its a little rough in some spots and I'm still figuring out the best way to go about completing certain sections but I'm happy with the progress thus far.
The design:
The only reason I stopped working on this tonight was because my neck started to get a bit achy. I'm excited to continue it tomorrow.

That's a lovely design, and you've made such a good start !
Can I give one tip which is really really easy but makes a stitcher's work look instantly neater? Make sure the cross stitches all go in the same direction, so that the top half of every cross stitch looks the same. It doesn't matter if all the tops go like this ///// or if all the tops go like this \\\\\, if they all go in the same direction they catch the light in the same way and make it look very neat and smooth
Very nice design! I saw some humming birds last night at my father in law's house.. they had a humming bird feeder Very cute little birds.. although their wings make them sound like mini planes lol

Thank you for all of the suggestions. This little section I finished I wanted to figure out which direction I would prefer to stitch and think I found it. So I did my best to keep the stitches consistent. I wanted to get a little bit more done then I did, but I'm happy with the results.
Looking great and well done for not panicing about a little miss count. In cross stitching you do not make mistakes but have happy accidents which makes your particular piece of stitching unique and "yours".
