The Jester

Post by Daesania »

I took a couple pictures tonight before i start this project tomorrow, I will be actively updating this thread as I am making this as a group gift to a friend, so I told them I would take weekly pictures of it

This is the picture of the chart, I put my state ID (size of a credit card) next to it so you could get an idea of the size of this thing. Finished size is not nearly that big.

This is all the threads used in it. Eep:

Wow, that's an interesting piece. Very modern, quite different from what I am used to. I bet it will be a huge success!

I'm impressed already. Your floss is neat and organized. Mine is usually in little baggies(and it doesn't always make it back into the baggy).

I chose the road less traveled. Now where the heck am I?

i put mine like that too in a plastic case in order by number!
and everytime I'm done w/ the project I file them back into my main cases.
and if the floss is low..the bobbins go in a zip loc bag that I take w/ me when i go out to the craft store so I get them for next time. And I file those right back.
I'm so neat and organized with my stash it make some stitchers ill..LOL.
I'm that way with everything though..and I think it is actually a sickness with me..

Blimey you guys are organised! I don't have that many threads yet as I have mainly done kits up til now but the thread stash is growing and I think I shall have to start being more organised with it soon.

Daesania, I'm really looking forward to watching your progress on the jester - I'm sure it's going to look amazing.

C-F that is what I do also except I don't take the bobbins with me. I have a spare white board that I am trying to figure out where to hang it in my craft room. I write the numbers down on there as a reminder as to what I need and then I make a grocery type list when I go to the craft store so I get the ones I need.

This should be an exciting one to watch grow and develope.

Yes, you may be right in that it is a bit scary, but I am sure the person who will receive will love it. It is going to be a great project when done!

Oh thats a great start!
It is surprising when you have lots of subtle colour changes going on that it seems there can't possibly be that many in there really, even when you KNOW there is.
I can tell by my owls now though, that it really does make such a difference when you stand back and look at your picture as it starts to progress more.
