I should make my other half read this page, he'd probably have a shock at the age range of the members, he calls me a 70 year old trapped in a 32 year olds body when I stitch!!!!

Here goes:

Age: 32 and 358 days!!!

Willing to write to: Anywhere.

Where your from: Mid Wales.

Any other Hobbies: Gardening and Decorating seem to be the only other things I do at present, although love reading anything when I get chance.

Pets/Children/Other Half: Have been with my partner Mark for a little over 10 years and we have a 10 month old Daughter. Pet wise we have a Yellow Bellied Turtle.

Favourite Colour: Purple but clothes wise its black!!!!

Favourite Things to Stitch: Don't really have a preference, will just about stitch anything.

Anything Else: I'm a Solicitor working 3 days a week and struggling a little with being back at work after Maternity leave, not helped by the fact I have very little to do at work.

If ou fancy received a rambling letter from me than PM me.
Emma

Just as an aside, I'm sure I saw a report in the news recently that sales of stationery are rising. Clearly the personal touch is making a comeback. Hurrah!!

That is exciting for stationaries to have an increase. I wonder though if it has to do with how the economy is and having the internet is a "luxary" item and people are going back to the cheapest way of communication.... if one can buy stamps of course haha.

Okay I have sent out 2 letters: tiffstitch, and Talenaya/Victoria. I sent them on Saturday and my "stationary" paper just arrived today and I am very happy. I will be writing everyone and getting them out this week.

I have pm'd you destructiveernie as well as Angel.

Carole - your lovely letter was in the post today. Gee I am having fun up here - mail every day for 2 weeks - so spoilt am I.

Answer during next week - hopefully. Been trying to get back into stitching again today - not wonderfully successful but it has to be finished in 2 weeks so have to press on.

Sally,

glad it arrived safely. I had put your stamp on someone else's envelope so it was first returned for insufficient postage and I had to remail it. Don't know who's. And then I sent one off without a stamp but fortunately, our mailwoman just left that one in the box. I hope I put stamps on all the others. I must have been confused that day. Tiffstitch, yours got in the mail yesterday, after sitting on my table for 2 days while I stared at a note I wrote which said "Mail letter". I think it is all the black stitching on my HAED which is muddling my mind.
I am going to have to start another HAED soon to clear my brain.

I have the opposite issue. It takes forever for me to sit down and write the letter but I'm good at mailing them. Though I am lousy out mailing out cards on time. :D

Victoria, got your letter today. Will answer you back this week-end. It is so much fun to get real letters.

Our local newspaper columnist wrote a column a few days ago about how much fun it used to be to get the mail when there was more in it than bills, magazines and "junk" mail. I am thinking of sending him an email (could send a letter but probably won't) telling him about the penpals that we have now from the forum and how much fun it has been to rediscover letters. Some of my friends are envious of it, but most have said that they don't think they would be up to writing so it is email for them. In the meantime, I am truly enjoying this.

Two lovely letters from Canada today - thanks a heap Jennifer (lovely writing) and Tiffany. Great to get all your news and know that mail is now flowing freely from Canada.

Just finished my gift for #2 son's 50th birthday on 1 August - been a long hard haul to get it done. Sadly I have no way of loading pictures at all from the camera at present but will do so once I have my computer back out of the boxes.
