I have finished the elephants in x's now on to the half stitches. I am babysitting at the moment so hoping for a fast reply... I do not have all my things with me so I don't have a picture of the kit either to help me.. When doing half stitches (for the grass) do I lay the stitches the same way as the underneath or the top of the X in the rest of the work?

I always have done half stitches like I do the bottom of a regular x stitch. bottom left to top right. I don't think it matters as long as all the stitches are the same direction.
Is that what you are asking? :thinks:

Yes thanks, that's what I am asking and that's also what I thought - doing half stitches same as underneath stitch on a x. I start mine with bottom left too :)

I always lay my stitches the way that the pattern shows them and I don't worry about if it is the top or the bottom stitch. But that is just my way you can lay them what ever way looks best to you. :thinks:
