"Inherited" Cross Stitch

Post by LilHackintosh »

My half brother visited my mom in Colorado a week or so ago and they met up with a family member.
Well, I was mailed a heavy box of, what i thought would be, simply some threads and unused linens and patterns. Well, instead, it was a few books of patterns. a few spools of thread organized with their half finished patterns and quite a few half finished pieces :thinks:

My problem occurs where I am running out of space and I have a spare shoe box i rescued for storage purposes.

Should I use the shoe box to store the patterns and half done pieces

or

Since one piece is fairly large, compared to my previous works, and is with an older pattern (that seems like something your grandmother may have stitched from) is there a certain way i should store this?

The only thing would suggest is to roll the half finished piece so that you don't have the fold lines to deal with.

I'm excited about them.. They're definitely not patterns i would typically get so I'm excited to try them out. The nice thing is they're relatively small.. so I can work on the one about the grand canyon and give it to my Geology teacher :)

I was thinking of laminating them for future use... only thing that sucks is this seems to be the only copy of the pattern and in order to keep track of her space.. she maked out the squares with pencil. im afraid to take an eraser to it to recover the lost spaces..

Me personally I make a xerox copy of the pattern and highlight out where i am on the copy.

Any idea how i can make a container moth proof? I'm on a limited budget and i know next to nothing about mothproof containers or how to make them moth proof.

I live in arizona.. maybe i should worry about bugs too?
