World of cross stitch
There's always something I want to do, there's a mix of big and small designs, there's alway at least one new finishing idea in there from tidy keeps to CD frames, the editors are fun, light and interesting and I just generally read it from cover to cover at least once. There's usually an interesting reader story or artical somewhere inside too.

I switched my cross stitcher to collection and that's a wonderful magazine, but not my favourite, and while I do like crazy, I only get it every now and then because I've got so many, but I enjoy reading WOXS

I subscribe to Cross Stitcher - but only cos it was free with Tesco Clubcard vouchers! I'm becoming less of a magazine person now I think. They are quite expensive and I'd rather put that money towards a chart I really want rather than having charts in a magazine which I may or may not get around to doing. I used to like them for inspiration - but I find this forum and other peoples blogs to be just as good for that and its free!!

Cross Stitch Gold as it's the only one I've actually stitched designs from. I did one for my dad which is now framed and I'm currently doing the Shakespeare Sampler from a couple of issues ago in rotation with my main project.

New Stitches is my absolute favourite. Excellent designs plus masterclasses on techniques. Not quite as full-on as Just Stitch, which is the Embroider's Guild magazine, which is also excellent.

My fav is Cross stitch collection, though I have Crossstitcher on sub as well.

I found an offer for 3 copies of WOXS and Cross stitch Gold for a £5 each - I may keep the Gold one, but not the WOXS, it seems very same-y to me.

i used to get "just cross stitch" and "threadneedle street" and a couple of others on subscription. but not any more.

i agree that i'd rather get a chart i'm sure of doing than a magazine full of stuff i may not do.

and you guys are my inspiration now!!!

I have a subs for WOCS which I enjoy - most of the time - and just pick up others if they appeal to me or if I need a "cross stitch mag fix". They are useful for relaxing and enjoying when the hands etc get very sore/achy.

I have been getting most of the recent X St Collection mags for the flower fairies by Joan Elliott.

I currently subscribe to "Cross Stitcher" but I'm not renewing it. The magazine company asked for $224 for 13 issues--a $73 increase over what I paid last year! I couldn't believe it!

I ordered "Just Cross Stitch" instead for nearly $200 less. I paid $29.15 for the year. Looking forward to getting my first issue. :D

You can get it from here either single copies or a sub. They are a fabulous shop and internet store with very quick delivery.
