Enchanting geisha - Finished! 14 sept

Post by karsa6245 »

As promised on my welcome post here is my work in progress, Enchanting geisha by the gold collection! this is my most challenging one yet! 18 count and having to change colours quite alot! its also introduced me to more stitches such as couching and french knots and metallics! Got this to match my room decor! Be interesting to do the tassel for the fan at the end!
This is slow progress as I tend to have breaks where I lose paitence for it! but im determined to get her kimono finished by this weekend!

How the finished piece should look!
Image
My progress so far! had to do some of the gold couching on her kimono as i was so tempted and put in her facial features to bring it to life.
Image
Close up of face! its so exciting to see the picture slowly unveil

Will keep you updated! and hopefully have her finished by the weekend so i can start on the background! :D

I also have that problem! I have two macaw charts in my stash which i spent ages looking for! i'm slowly getting the threads for it but i really want to start them! the temptation is horrible haha. I guess paitence is a virtue!

Lovely pic, and lovely work! :applesauce: :applesauce:

I have the same trouble as Arianna and Karsa, with having to collect threads slowly for several HAEDs I want to stitch NOW!. But I have two (non-HAED) on the go that I have to finish as well... I need 2 or 3 of me...
