AWESOME. I think yours must be a monstrous sized HAED. or it could be that you have gridded the whole thing which may make a difference. I am only doing column by column right now. How many pages of charts are there? My LOTR is 25, though they aren't all full sized. I love the colors and I love the dragonflies on this one.

BAP indeed! I never thought of it in those terms, but it is an apt description . Since this is my first HEAD I didn't realize that this one was any different from the rest. It wasn't until after I started (and I saw SAL of other people's work) that I realized what I'd gotten myself into. I figure it'll get done ... eventually.

The Elementals (HAED) - Finished 9/42 Pages
Fall Fairy (Dimensions Gold) - Finished 4/4 Pages only backstitch left!
Springtime Roses Freebie (Chatelaine)
The Encounter - Finished 3/24 Pages (HAED)
It is a bit bigger (at least than my LOTR) but it is going to be so beautiful when you are done that it will be well worth it. I enjoy your updates so much that I hope you won't stay away from it too long.

You have small children and still have the patience for something this complex? Kudos!! I had to wait until my twins were in college before I could re-start my stitching projects!!
I see you are using a hoop. When it comes time to move it and put it over already stitched areas, will you keep using it or switch to something else?
(I ask because your work is so even and flat and gorgeous... I am starting a HAED eventually but don't know how to go about it).
I'm going to continue using the hoop as it's the only thing I really have (my scroll frame is too small and would be too heavy at that size anyway and I can't use my floor stand because it rapidly becomes a baby toy if I get it out). I've never had a problem in the past with the stitches staying squashed. The one's the do get squashed pop back up after a good wash and iron. It may have hoop marks while it's a WIP, but it'll all turn out good in the end.
