Wonderful project and I too like your colour pallet. I had to go look this TOS to find out what the letters stood for. Wow! is what I found. Looking forward to your project as it progresses.

Yep, Mabel. It's a very subtle variegated floss I think. So delicate!

Eyelets are done. They took way longer than doing the knots or the smyrna. I used 3 colors for them. The Anchor 1040 I used on the smyrna blend, and DMC 159 and 3841, 'cus they were similar to the shades on the variegated. It came slightly darker than the french knots and smyrna, but still in the same scheme.

As usual sorry for the dark picture.

They've come out really well and the colour scheme is beautiful! (In fact you've inspired me to dig out my 1040 stranded cotton and perle and stitch a project with it

I couldn't get a bright shiny picture, but this one shows the stitch. Rice stitch done on DMC 4010 variegated.
