Bobbin storage boxes and bag

Post by paul »

I went shopping today as I needed more bobbin storage boxes.
I looked in hobby craft and they were £6.99 each and they were only small ones. Bought a load of thread from hobby craft. I got home then noticed I got most of the wrong ones. They must have been mixed up in there "easy to find numbered trays" Ggggrrr

Just thought I'd pop into Argos on the off chance and found this jem!!

It has 5 large bobbin storage boxes and all fits neatly into the bag. Which has other zip pockets to store things. It was only £22.99.
So if anyone is looking for bobbin storage then I recommend Argos it's in there catalogue under the cross stitch section.

For whatever its worth, and for us over here in the states, I use very similar bobbin boxes for storage and need a lot since I put threaded needles in seperate compartments for my active projects. anyway, I hadn't been able to find more (with HAED's this has the potential for crazyness but its still working okay) until I saw them for $1.99 each in the beading section at Michael's. I used to get them at Walmart. Anyway, just a note to remind everyone that in those craft stores that pay us little attention we have to look around in the other sections. I found these by mistake as I was wondering around looking at their Ott lights. makes sense, right?
But I haven't seen a bag as nice as the one you got Paul. I could use a few of those right now, I think.

Wish I'd spotted it before I brought plastic boxes!!!! Probably a good job my local Argos doesn't have one in stock otherwise I might have given in to temptation.

I need to get me some proper thread storage (they're stored flat in plastic containers now) Having them all in one place like that would be fab. My local argos only have 1 in stock at the moment and I can't afford it right now :(

Thanks for the heads up on it paul - I'm definitely gonna be keeping an eye on it for the next month or so to get it after payday
