My newest WIP Starlet~update Oct 7, 11

Post by JazzeyBear »

So I wanted to show off my newest WIP, since I needed a break from Tinkerbell because of an extra row magically showing up out of no where. I started Starlet Monday afternoon.

:applesauce: good start. It can be very important to be able to switch to a different project when one becomes frustrating. Do you have a photo of what this will look like when its done?

I was thinking today that I would like to do another one like it in the future just not in black and gray. But I'm not so sure about it...

So I realized earlier today that I grided off my fabric in this water soulable blue pencil, and I'm not so sure it's actually going to come off so I may have to fill in the white with white stitches. I wasn't very smart doing this project. Lol

I use a water soluble blue pen which is made for fabrics for gridding. I tested it to make sure the lines would wash away. If you aren't sure about yours you could test it before you go any further on your stitching and then re grid it. or just try a small corner to see if the lines wash away. they should.

That is going to be really fabulous when it is finished and you have made a gresat start on it.

I have the opposite problem with the soluble pens for gridding - it tends to vanish in the humidity. Gggrrrrrrrrr Mind you Country Companions one has been around all year.

I have the pencil, not the pen. It already looks like it's dissappearing, so hopefully I won't have to stitch the white. But if I do than I will.

Thanks everyone for the support. I'll either update another picture either Wednesday or Thursday. Not sure yet, it's still not much done, but I am extremely happy with what I have done so far. And it's going to be the biggest project that I've done to date.

Very cool picture. If the pencil is already fading you shouldn't have any issues with marks leftover. But like you said, can always stitch over it if needed.

Thank you all! I'm super excited about it, I'm taking a break from it to return to Tinkerbell and hopefully will finish her today. Just have to figure out how to fix the extra row I have and finish up all the backstitich on her. Going to edited out the french knots, not in the mood to do them..
