lunch time SAL

Post by gojirafanatic »

Once i finished the panda cross stitch and hung it up on the wall, i was at a loss as to what to do in my lunch times at work. that was until i was saw this in an old magazine that i was given:

my wife had embriodered a few clocks and not to be out done i decided to make it a bit harder by planning to turn this into a clock as well (i'm not competative - honest lol   ). so i had to work out the exact placing of the clock spindle and fixing plate so that i could omit the stitchs where the fabric would have to be cut.

the actual hole will be just below the sign on the right of the post.

so far this is all i have done in 3 weeks:

Oh, that is so pretty! I love Lilliput lane cottages - I have 3 ceramic ones - (sadly not more), and that is such a nice design!   What a good idea to turn it into a clock. :) Perfect setting for it.
I must look out for a lilliput lane cross stitch myself - didn't know you could get 'em!

Oh - and good start, btw!

What a lovely chart, I am sure it will be delightful to stitch and a great idea to make it into a clock. Well done

I love Lilliput Lane and have done a couple although must admit not fond of the fiddly backstitching on the thatched roofs or mullioned windows. Still it is worth it to do it.

I think this will make a great clock. And there's nothing wrong with being competitive.as long as it inspires you creatively and looks like it has. I can't wait to see how this turns out.
