Today i got through the post a fantastic Panda kit from Vanessanjf.
So me being me i made a start on it. Now im stitching it with 3 strands of floss, as there is a lot of black and white in it. And i dont think that 2 strands will cover well enough.
Here is what ive done so far. Not much, but i recon i could have this finished in about 6 - 8 weeks.
Once again a big thank you to Vanessa.

HEHE this made me laugh out loud because I have always thought this too. DH and I were watching something on the discovery channel one day, and I said I would love to pet one or touch one haha. He said...in that "are you crazy dear" voice...you do know they are BEARS right...you know BEARS.
I said but they look so swee and innocent. He just rolled his eyes.
Got a little bit more done on this last night. Im still not 100% happy with the coverage on the black, so ive un-picked it all and started on another part instead.
Has you can tell, the coverage on the green is a lot better. So i think that the only way to get it better for the black, is to use 4 strands of thread instead of 3.
Has anyone else come across this problem using 11 count fabric? or is it just me?

Its the floss that came with the kit BizzieLizzie.
EDIT.
Ive just worked out what the problem is. When i stitched the black, i used a size 28 needle, when i stitched the green i used a size 24. My fault, and i put it down to usualy stitching on 14, 16 and 18 count fabric. Oh well, they say you live and learn.

That is interesting. I usually think the needle size is related to the number of strands and the holes in the fabric, not in terms of the coverage. I do find that DMC 310 is thinner than the other DMC colors and have heard others say the same thing. Next time I start a project with lots of 310 (which I am mostly planning on avoiding in the future), I will check this out.
I do love what you have been doing so far and hope that the change in the needle makes the difference for you. The green is a very pretty shade and you are making good progress now.
