Always look forward to these updates; they're such sweet dogs! :applesauce: Hope you're feeling better now. I used to get awful migraines when I was younger and know how terrible they are.

Thanks everyone. It's actually very enjoyable to stitch, no fractional stitches, not too much confetti but not really any huge solid blocks of one colour either. And it's dogs and anything to do with dogs is good

The headaches have gone for the time being, hopefully they stay away.

Been quite a while since I updated this! Got quite a bit further as you can see. Unfortunately Easy Jet must have given my suitcase a bath or something on the way to Germany as EVERYTHING in it was absolutely soaking when I got here. Including my cross stitch :x Almost all of my gridding has been washed out and I'm a bit reluctant to re-grid in case I mess it up. So looks like I'm going to be doing it the hard way from now on with this piece.

:applesauce: Just looked through this thread. What a great design this is and you have done a really good job. I guess washable ink is washable. But hopefully you have done enough that you'll be able to work without the gridlines from this point on. I can already see how precious this first sweet doggie is. :applesauce:

Great update! :applesauce: I'm sorry to hear about your stuff being wet. Airlines seem to completely ignore any sense in handling baggage sometimes. I can see it sitting in the rain with them not realizing bags are not water proof!

What a pain that your luggage got so wet and took out all the grid lines. Hopefully it won't be too difficult to keep going as its a gorgeous project. You've made a huge start on it.

I would. Or put the stitching in your hand luggage and just put the needles in your case.

It wasn't even raining yet my case was completely and utterly soaked so god knows what they'd done to it! Thankfully I'd decided at the last minute to take my laptop on as hand luggage so that wasn't destroyed.

Squirrel, I'll be carrying on without gridlines. I've done too much to just quit because they've been washed away and I'm really enjoying stitching this one.

Hang on in there without the grid (I confess I've never used gridding so I occasionally have to redo a section but firm counting and shading your pattern usually does the trick. Bad luck on the luggage - how frustrating!
I took mine on as hand luggage for our flights to India and they were fine with my stitching on the plane (I took a thread cutter rather than scissors).
Lovely picture - what a great piece of work.
