Sorry to go off topic for this post: I searched around Australian shops today and the cheapest I could get the Stitchmaster stand for was AUD$143.00 (£90) not including delivery. I ended getting it from Sew and So UK for AUD$80 (£50 including 5-8 day express courier delivery) which is a big saving. So much stuff of all types is so overpriced in Australia.Fljotsdale wrote:Yes, it is a Stitchmaster, meerkat!
dalronix, with postage and packing, it cost £33.68, which is very, very cheap for a floorstand! ..... Sew and So, uk, but I should think you could get something from the same maker from craft stores in Australia.
After all that trouble, I hope you are as happy with it as I am! It's easy to put together, too, which is a bonus so far as I am concerned!dalronix wrote:Sorry to go off topic for this post: I searched around Australian shops today and the cheapest I could get the Stitchmaster stand for was AUD$143.00 (£90) not including delivery. I can't wait for it to arrive.
Meerkat! She posted me her chart - unmarked! She has the sense to use photocopies! But it is a Dimensions kit, if you want to get it, called White Lightning (or Eclair Blanc). Just be warned that the design calls for you to use 2, 4, 5, and 6 strands of thread! So far I have broken 5 needles! But he's well worth the effort and the needles!valb58 wrote:SO stunning, i must get that chart for my collection. If i am not being cheeky where did you get the chart from ? I would love to do him for my sister who is also Tiger Mad.
