Second horse finished! I didn't rush as much on this one as the first...this took 7 days vs 4 days on the first. :) I have to go to the craft store tomorrow to buy more 14ct aida to start the 3rd horse. I want to try some gold needles too cus the nickel plated ones don't last long with me...the finish was starting to wear off before I completed the first horse.

:applesauce: that is a very pretty horse. It may have taken a bit longer but you still finished it pretty quickly, but still well done.

Wow this is lovely! :applesauce:

I can imagine it's quite difficult stitching the pale colours on the pale fabric...well I usually have a problem with that  !!

Nachosmiley - yes, this one was a bit harder cus it had more white & cream...which I stitched first cus there were large areas of it...but then I had to look closely to see those white stitches against the white fabric as I was using the other colors! But the horses wouldn't really work on any other color fabric since the designer used the white to her advantage - for example the bit of mane that shows on the 2nd horse...it's the fabric with the blues & grays filling in the areas where the mane isn't.

The third horse has gone a lot slower than the first two cus I've had 3 days dedicated to a horse show at my barn (helping my friends that were showing) and 2 days hauling a friends horse to a lameness vet. So here's my progress. You can see how I stitch all the white & very light gray (DMC 762) because they're the 2 colors with the most stitches, then I'll start filling in all the shading with the other colors.

The top part is completely done...just a couple rows past the bottom of the ears.
