A little card for Val

My very good friend Val is moving back to her native Canada at the end of this week. She's been like a second mum to me over the last 10 years and I will miss her loads. I couldn't think what leaving gift to get her that wouldn't take up her precious luggage allowance, so I made her a cross stitch card that depicts her favourite things in life - books, coffee and pussycats! It was great fun to stitch.

Here it is:



I'm giving it to her on Wednesday evening, which will be the last time I see her before she goes to Canada. Must remember to take enough tissues for two!

What a lovely, personal and special gift that is. I know she will treasure it forever. lots of tissue I am sure, but maybe one day you will be able to travel to Canada for a visit.
