The kit that you got for the wine bottle covers, what company makes those I have been looking for something like that as gifts this year?????? I really want to get some. I hope they are available in the USA.

I got two very pretty Gloriana silks -- I want to use one of them for the My Big Toe chart I'm ordering today!

Yes, they are

-- I got two, and I get them from West End Embroidery who do 4yd skeins for Â£3.75, which is quite a good price, and as I never do projects that would need a full 6yd skein anyway, this makes it a little more affordable!

I think those ones are by Permin, been eying some of their kits up myself. Not sure if you can get them in the US but here is a uk store that stocks them http://www.stitcher.co.uk/permin/christmas/

Thanks Mabel - that is good to know as I will be needing a few skeins of Gloriana in the future and every penny counts!!

Got a little package from the USA - my sparklies for CGM:

They look lovely - but then I remembered that I actually have to stitch all 1500 odd of them on to my work........

The sparklies are beautiful. And I will enjoy your updates as you sew them on. Sparklies and beads are what make for vicarious stitching enjoyment. I love the way they look and hate sewing them on.

LOL on sewing them on Carole--I don't mind doing it so much--it is time consuming but they do add so much to a project!!

No!! But it was on sale ... and I liked it ... and I told my hubby it was SAVING money ... but didn't mention that I didn't actually NEED it!!

Must stay away from the Chatelaine site though, too much stash already!

I don't know if you've tried them, but GJ beads in St Ives have a fantastic selection! Another place to spend loads of money!

My Stashmas gift arrived from Agnes, all the way from Sweden. Am dying to open it (as is Xander!) but I shall squirrel it away in a safe place till Stashmas Day!
