Lizzie*Kate Merry Little Bird - Need Help

Seems I'm always asking for help with one thing or another. One of these days I hopefully will be of help to someone else : )

Has anyone made this Lizzie*Kate Merry Little Bird ornament? I can't for the life of me figure out how to finish it! There are some directions, including a drawing showing you where to baste the ornament & where to put the button, but I just don't get it! I've written to the company but haven't received a response. Any help will, as always, be greatly appreciated : )
