Completed work

Post by cristaltipps »

These are the two cross stich pictures that have well and trully hooked me right back into it, the first sat in a drawer forgot about till august 2010, it was about a quarter done I got it finished for a birthday present in Feb when straight away I started the second which I got done for a present in November, they both went down a storm.

The second one is about a quarter smaller than the first but it was done on 18 count as opposed to 14 for the dolphins, I prefer 14 I have decided my eyes cope better lol.

They are both awesome works and the Girrafes one on 18cnt must have been a real labour of love. Very well done on both of them.

What is next in your list of stash to do? I like to do cards on 14 cnt as it is easier and quicker but mostly prefer 16cnt for anything of any size.

:applesauce: those are just great pieces. I love dolphins and those are so realistic. The giraffes are fantastic too. The colors of the sky are just lovely. What is next on your stitching agenda?

Those are both fantastic! I love the giraffes especially, but the dolphins are excellent as well, as if they're right behind glass. Beautiful work. And yes, what are your next plans?

That is not me in the picture it is my eldest whom it was a birthday present for, it was supposed to be for her 18th and she got it for her 28th so all in all only 10 years late!.
Thank you for the kind comments, Ihave dragged out my UFO of the castle by Teresa Wenzler and plan on finishing that first before fetching all my other long forgotten half projects out and seeing where to go from there.

I think a lot of my problem was boredom and overambitious kits as the above one was my first kit and before that I had only done small stuff out of magazines well its all blends, fractionals and lots of colour changes so it never grew quick enough for me, however I now realise the pleasure is as much in the getting there as the end result :)

I am loving this forum and enjoying seeing every one elses work it is amazing the diversity in stitching projects and many things I have never even heard of before like HAED's and Mandala's, oh and tips I had never thought of like stitching in the well I have switched my frame and am so impressed I do not think I will ever go back now.
