Specialty Fabric

Post by mauveme »

Does anyone know of any US or Canadian site that sells DMC marbled aida. DMC wont ship to Canada. I have the King Tut head and am having trouble finding that fabric. I am looking for Desert Sand. Thanks

I know of an online company called Sew It All. I know they ship to the US and they do all kinds of fabrics and in a variety of colours I don't know how to post the link but the website address is http://www.sewitall.com" target="_blank. I have only bought fabric from them at my local craft show but I have bought a couple of things online and they are very good and quick. I am not sure if the actual materials are DMC though.

I don't know which exact colour you need, but Tandem Cottage sells three shades of marbled aida here (bottom of the page)

Have a try at the fabric viewer. I don't believe the Tut picture is listed so you won't be able to over lay it on the fabrics but if you download it to your computer you can upload it into the viewer and look at it side by side with the various fabrics. That might help give you an idea of what it would look like. It will also give you an idea of the various fabrics available but all in one place so you don't have to go webpage to webpage.

It's the most amazing thing. The hand-dyeds are close and may vary but it definitely narrows in your decisions.

Is marbled Aida different from Vintage Aida?
