Had a little break from this one for a bit - but here is an update. Nothing you haven't seen already now the whole border is completed, but here is a full picture of it as it stands now:

Now I get to stitch more exciting things on this one other than repetitive borders!

As I get to "Part 13" - AKA the Beading Marathon (or half-marathon compared to Butterfly Lace!) I am considering threads to use for beading. Normally I use a thread colour that matches the fabric, but I know other stitchers that prefer to use a clear nylon thread (whereas other loathe it!). Does anyone have any thoughts/advice on this topic?

Absolutely stunning! You've gotten so much done already, it's amazing.

As for the beading, I prefer using cotton thread to match over the nylon. The reason is that I've had problems with the beads coming off of the 2 projects (both Christmas stockings) that I used nylon on. Now, the issue seems to mainly be with the beads that are not within the stitching such that I couldn't use the stitching to help anchor the nylon. I think the nylon is just too slippery and slides right out. Just my opinion, others may know something about securing nylon thread that I don't.

I hope that makes sense. I really shouldn't post before I've had my coffee....
