Re: The Jester
I just love that this project is so different, That is a lot of colours

Re: The Jester
Its kind of funny, I'm making this as a group gift, and a friend of mine said, gosh you've been working on that for two weeks now and you've only got a nose?! Yes.. when you do 4 stitches and have to carry them all, then switch threads for another 3 stitches, it tends to take awhile buddy! This part is the hardest part I think, there's a ton of shading in the face which means a lot of colors. Once i get past the face and onto the hat, I think it'll be a lot easier to see big blocks of progress versus tiny sections with lots of shading colors you cant even see. hehe

Re: The Jester
This looks really well done, I like the way you are going on with this. Keep us posted we are really going to enjoy watching this.

Re: The Jester
I did indeed move it, because i had another update
The reason i moved it is because at the end of all of this - I'm gonna make a 'flip book' with the pictures via a slide show so my friends can see how progress was from beginning to end

I can't understand why Jilly and I could still see it. I looked again and I can still see it!
Anyhow, great progress. That's alovely idea for your friend to be able to watch it grow.

Re: The Jester
You can probably see it because its saved to your temporary internet files. I bet if you emptied them you couldnt see it
Any time you view a web page with pictures, the picture is saved to your temporary internet files folder so when you come back next time, it takes less time to load.
I keep moving them every time i have an update so when my friends get into the guest pass for photobucket, they only see what the current progress is. They're all the way in Denmark, so they cant see it in person, but since they're all chipping on money to me for this project, i want them to see what it looks like as it goes.

Re: The Jester
That makes sense, I am using the big computer upstairs and it has gone.
Re: The Jester
I edited it out of the other post so people wouldnt have to see that "image moved or deleted" picture
I should maybe just keep my updated pictures in the first post, I'll figure somethin out next update. hehe

Re: The Jester
Great start, well done.

Re: The Jester
I'm really looking forward to seeing this piece progress. Good to see something really different and adventurous. Good luck, five months will be a hard deadline to make (well, it certainly would be for me).

Re: The Jester
O, I can see the eye and the nose now...wonderful progress! Can't wait to see you finish this!
I also arranged my threads in plastic bobbins and they're in numerical order...I don't have a complete set though I just buy when needed...currently I have around 250 colors. A friend of mine suggested that I give a try to make the "Angel of Crossstitch" because it has all the DMC colors, she says that way I can have the complete set in a jiffy!
Happy stitching!
