Hi from Va :)

I've been a cross stitcher for quite some time. A few months back I started working on a Victor Lesur painting. The finished product will be about 20x30 inches. I work on it almost every day. I love watching it come into shape. It'll take me at least 3 years to finish it. Anyone else working on a big project? Can someone suggest a good portable frame for it? All the ones I've seen are with stands. I'd like to have something about 25 inches wide and portable. The length doesn't have to be more than 6 inches or so since I'm stitching it in blocks. Well, it's great to be here! I can't wait to read what fellow stitchers have to say!

:wave: Hello and welcome from South Carolina. We'd love to see pictures of your project. Quite a few of us are working on large projects and then small projects and all sorts. If you take a peek at the SAL forum you will be amazed at the breadth of what goes on here. But be warned. It can all become very addictive.

Welcome from Brisbane Australia. Sounds like you are going to be stitching you current WIP for some time.

I don't know of a portable frame for something that large so can't answer your question but someone else may have some ideas.

WOW! Thank you so much everyone! I feel so welcome and so excited at people's interest in seeing my project! I will definitely take pictures and put them up. I'm still working my way around the site. The WIP gallery hasn't opened for me yet. A few more posts and I'll have access to it. I can't wait to see everyone's work and I'm sure it'll be the biggest encouragement for me! :D

Welcome from the West of Scotland! :wave: I'm a great one for huge projects, myself, so I'm really interested to see yours when you get your SAL up and running. While you are waiting, why not go and peruse the galleries of the forum stitchers? Lots of inspiration to be seen there.

Sirende, thank you! I took a peek at the galleries last week. I can't wait to go back and see more. I never get tired of seeing other people's work. It's so inspirational.
