Portable frame

Post by ranjita »

I need a protable frame about 25 inches wide. The length doens't have to be more than 6 inches. Any suggestions?

I'll just add on to Reta's suggestion there. I've looked into frames like this before, and some of them want you to attach velcro to your fabric, or staple it right to the scroll frame. I don't like doing this as it's not only a waste of fabric I think, but also it could damage something. They're a bit harder to find, but worth it if the scroll frame has a piece of canvas attached to it, instead of velcro or stapling. This way you can just sew your fabric onto the frame, and it's easily removable. If you have any questions I can include a picture of mine to show what I'm talking about, incase I'm not too clear.

Thank you Corey. I've been thinking about the frame for a few days and decided to drop it. I think I'll stick to my hoop. I got a Q-Snap that I want to try. I figured it's better to keep them portable. With the smaller hoop or Q-Snap, I can fold my work and put it in my fabric bag.

Or if it's the staple kind (or any wood really) do like I do and staple a strip of calico to your frame.
Myst..
