ketta, i've been so inspired by your work, that i ordered this chart and flosses today.

i want to practice on 25ct to see if i like it for my larger HAED project.

you've done such a beautiful job, i hope i can do as well.

Aw... thanks pattiebelle! I think you'll really enjoy working on the project. Even though it's small, it does retain a fair amount of detail. And thank you for the compliments! I'm sure you'll do a fabulous job and I'm looking forward to watching your SAL on it if you do one.

Ok, I finished this yesterday. The only part I really didn't like was not having all my threads at once, as I'd planned to stitch solidly from section to section rather than leave holes (like I tend to in larger projects). Having to go back and clean up all the missing bits took a lot of time. Otherwise, it's been a great, quick though detailed project.

As far as the pattern goes, there are a couple of what I call 'outlier' stitches that stand out. If I were to do this again, I'd fix them. I just don't have it in me at this moment to do it -- frogging sucks! I wouldn't have minded if it had been an inch wider and longer to allow for a bit more detail, but I still love it just as it is.

I decided to frame it, as both my niece and nephew have Nooks. While they do read books, it's not like I did as a kid, and I think these projects would be appreciated more as wall hangings. I did start my nephew's last night, and will post that SAL soonish. Oh, and I'll post a pic once this is framed!
