You could always use 32 count evenweave/linen and stitch over 2 instead of over 1. A lot of her designs are meant for that I think.
For books, I listen to audiobooks a lot, that helps me have more time to stitch.
I was going by the suggestion on the pattern. But good to know! I plan on getting more of her designs.
I've never been able to get into audio books for some reason.

You said it! Books and cross stitching! Every evening I'm torn between which I want to do first! My reading hours have gone down tremendously ever since I started on my big cross stitch project. No regrets though. Out of curiosity of a fellow avid reader - which book are you so hooked on?
A belated welcome from West Stirlingshire! Looks like you're fitting in here just the thing. Perhaps I could introduce you to our pub: the Stash & Grab. The finest in virtual cuisine and fine wine. And possibly the best hot chocolate on any hemisphere.

Stephen King's new one, 11/22/63. Holy cow is it a great read.

Hmmm...I've never been into Stephen King but he is obviously a great author. I did like reading Shawshank Redemption, though. I'm more into literature, memoirs, some history and such...

You might like this one then. It's about a guy who finds a portal into the past and his attempt to stop the JFK assassination. It's not super creepy or way out there like some of his books.
