Re: Motleigh's Crazy January Challenge Projects
I also completed the challenge with two brand new starts and the treated each of the 13 squares left on my afghan as new starts.
I know what you mean about its nice to get back to 'normal' stitching, there was something comforting last night, stitching on the one project knowing that tonight I'll just pick up where I left it rather than moving to something new.

A few finishes:
Big Bird:

I messed this one up big time. I miscounted and the sign is down lower than it should be, his leg is one stitch too wide and his nose is off a little

I don't like the coverage I got on this one. It's so cute though, I might have to stitch it again to get better coverage

I had to change the gate. The original design violated my sense of perspective. I think it looks better now, not perfect, but better than before.

Great finishes & very impressive progress on the challenge!!

Have you washed & pressed it yet? Sometimes I've found that either the fabric shrinks a bit or the floss swells a bit, but it often looks better after being soaked & dried. It is a very lovely piece!motleigh wrote:Close Encounter:

Love these projects, especially the bunny!

Re: Motleigh's Crazy January Challenge Projects- 3 more fini
another finish. I blocked out most of the baby's name and the day of birth for privacy.

I made the farmer into a girl by adding the pigtails and pink boots. I also changed the shirt stripes from red to purple
