Completely OT Gutted

Post by jocellogirl »

Wolves have finally given Mick McCarthy the sack  . We were thrashed by our arch rivals West Bromwich Albion 5 -1 at home yesterday and I'm not ashamed to admit that I was in tears by the end of the match. We have been playing really badly and are now in the relegation zone with no manager. I know the vast majority of you lovely people won't have the foggiest idea what I'm on about, but the Wolves fans' forum is full of blokes and I feel more comfortable getting it off my chest here. Thanks :(

Saw that on the news today. McCarthy came in with quite a good reputation, and Wolves is one of the oldest of the FA teams, isn't it. Guess the players are just going to have to find a bit of bottle... who's taking over in the interim?

The assistant manager Terry Connor. None of the fans on the forum are keen on that choice. I don't know who is going to take over from Mick, as any decent potential candidates are now with other clubs.

I'm a Brummie lass myself, so I do know what you're talking about! :D One of my exes was a major Wolves supporter, but I've never been a fan of football (I prefer rugby, although I do like the Villa to do well). Sorry to hear things are going badly for your team, but these things go in cycles. I'm sure you'll bounce back after a transition period with a new manager. Hang in there!!

It is a shame. I thought he was a good guy for them.

The Molineux s looking good with its new stand being done up! Shame it doesnt look like it'll be used as a premier stadium for a season or two!

Lets hope they get a good replacement manager. I hear Fabio Capello is looking around now too

Up the Villa

He was a good manager, but unfortunatly we put 5 past you and we  didnt even play that good.
If you had lost against one of the bigger sides by that scoreline then he would still be in a job now.

Corby _stitcher I quite agree! I think it's the fact that we were thrashed by the baggies at home rather than one of the big 4 (all of whom we beat last season) that finally did it. The writing had been on the wall for a while, but Sunday was the straw that broke the camel's back. I liked Mick, he's a decent bloke, but I think we need a change. I hope we find a good replacement soon :x:  or I'll be as sick as a parrot. (Can't think of any more cliches  )
