Great forum!
Hi,
My name is Vicky and I joined the forum today. Ive had a quick look through, and have found some great tips and advice after just half an hour!
I learnt to stitch about 15 years ago when I was about 10, but stopped until last year when I got the inspriration to start again! I absolutley love it... Especially when I see the finished product.
I am struggeling with ideas of what to do with my finished projects so if you have some creative ideas to share, it would be fantastic.
I am currently living in Italy teaching English. My current project is to go in a frame for the kids at the hosiptal. A pile of cute teddies sleeping in bed holding a get well soon card. Ill post a picture when im finished.
Looking forward to hearing from everyone and sharing ideas!!!

Re: Great forum!
Hello, Vicky, and welcome to the forum. Glad you like it here - we do too. It's a wonderful place with wonderful people.
If you look through Tips and tricks I am sure you will find some good ideas about finishing, and also in the galleries. And I seem to remember a very good link, but don't know where it was, maybe someone will know...
Please, set up your own gallery and show us your work.

Welcome Vicky, I hope you'll enjoy your visits here!
We've got quite a few teachers or ex-teachers here -- I used to teach English in my native Netherlands, and we've got Agi who'se a teacher and threadbear who home-schools (brave girl!).
Any questions you have about stitching just ask -- we love questions and between us we usually come up with an answer
. We're a friendly lot so just dive in and join the fun!

Yes, a proper welcome to you. Hopefully, you'll just jump in. It gets a bit chaotic from time to time, but we are (mostly) harmless.

Re: Great forum!
Welcome from sunny California
. This is a wonderful place filled to the brim with happy stitching people
(just take a look at our pics in the Nice to Meet You thread). No one bites or nibbles (except for chocolate and cake) and we never poke (except for
) so settle in and make yourself at home.

Hello and Welcome.....sorry I was the meany of the forum this morning. I don't like to be but we have to be so careful about copyright and in away as a moderator it is my job.
I really hope we can be friends anyway. We do like newbies.
