Thanks! I think the tickers are a neat tool and help with motivation! I don't think there is a cat themed thread specifically, but keep your eye out, there are some really cute pictures of some of our stitching "helpers" (especially from Carole, rcperryls), and a few stitchers here are working on cat or big cat projects!
Oooh! I'd love to see some big cat-themed projects. My biggest attempt so far was "Kitty Litter". I don't have a picture of it but will take one in the next few days and post.
very cute. As marniecat mentioned I have several cat themed projects I am working on and usually when I post any progress updates a picture or two of one of my feline assistants gets added in the mix as she is a serious stitcher and ham as well.
There are quite a few projects that others are doing with the big cats that are fantastic and that you will certainly see the longer you are here. The ones you have done are really cute and I am looking forward to your future updates.

Thank you, everyone! Is there a "blushing" gremlin? haha! I'm very excited to have found a place to share my love of cross-stitching.
I am very intrigued by the grid-ing I see going on in a lot of projects. I have always just folded my Aida cloth and found the centre square and started from there. My husband laughs at me because at least a few times during a project he hears me swear out loud (usually when I realized I've made a counting error). I suppose the grid-ing way avoids that. Where does one find a marker/pen like that?
I actually found my gridding pen at WalMart of all places, in the sewing section as there is no longer any cross stitch there. Also have seen them at Michael's and AC Moore. If that isn't available to you 123Stitch has them. Most of the websites probably do also. I find that now that I have started gridding I must have a hard time with "normal" counting as I have done more frogging on my non HAED project which isn't gridded than on my HAED's with all their confetti! Some members use thread or gridding thread instead. Lots of choices.
