He is beautiful and so much wisdom in those eyes. The computer is a great location for both of these.

That is perfectly wonderful, Mags, and such a great counterpart to the kitty!

All right, go on then, indulge yourself into something very very colourful -- how about those fractal designs in bright rainbow colours that we sawe in another thread? Only about 100 shades for a bookmark :-)

Mags, I've just been looking at your gallery again. Were the last 2 projects kits or charts? I've never done animals before but your owl and Magesty II are so compelling. I'd love to give one of them a try (provided I ever get through my recent WIP). If you could point me in a direction as to where to look for them, I'd much appreciate it. :D

Thanks everyone

Carolyn, yes these were kits by Vervaco. I got mine from Sew and So

http://www.sewandso.co.uk/man2-31.html" target="_blank

I am sure they will ship, but you could maybe find them over your side of the pond.

It would be no good sending you my chart as they do not give the colour numbers (just a description) and I think it would be quite important to have exactly the right colours.

Thanks Mags, I'll have a look. I didn't mean to sound as if I wanted your charts. I'm so sorry, I wouln't dream of asking for copies. I just prefer to work from charts rather than kits. I'm too afraid of messing up or running out of the provided floss. Plus, charts are much more affordable for my budget. I do appreciate the direction as to the designer.
Boy, you guys have really inspired me with all your work. I fink myself wanting to do every new SAL I see posted.

Carolyn, you didn't sound as if you were asking

I agree about kits - on the owl I only had about 6 inches left of one strand of one of the colours  although they do give a guarantee and you can send off for extra if you run out (but who wants to wait!). And, I hate the fact that the aida usually has a nasty crease - I always substitute another piece and use the kit fabric for cutting up for smaller projects.

Mags you are right about the kited fabric has such a nasty crease and you have to really work to get it out. they seem to have foled it an then steam flattened it. They need to be told to roll the fabric.

:thinks: I wonder if anyone has ever tried to contact the companies about this.
