Celtic Autumn - new project

Post by carolannkg »

Hi All

Well, I'm already to start on Celtic Autumn, I have all the threads sorted, all the beads and metallics ready to go, and this morning I hemmed the linens so it wouldn't fray. So.... this is it, this afternoon start to stitch. I'll post pictures of it when I've made a bit of progress.

I am really looking forward to doing this one.

Do it, Nettie! Go Celtic with us! ;) I've never done beads either. They can't be that hard, can they?

Soon Rose, soon... only thing to show for my progress up to now, is a little splash of purple, when I've got a few more inches stitched, then I'll put a picture up :D

Nettle, I've never done that much beading before either, and I'm a bit daunted by it. Not sure whether to tackle it as I go along or wait and do it all at the end...

I really was just kidding you Carol I can wait. Maybe not patiently but we can wait. Just get used to a bit of intense prodding when it comes to up dates we are a very nosey group and we love to see how much work you have got done.

Good luck, Carol! May the beads behave, the metallics be cooperative and the linen guide your needle to the right holes :-) -- I'm looking forward to the pictures!

Mabel, we could use this as the stitchers' blessing or something - it is so very well put!

I'm looking forward to seeing it, even if there isn't much to see yet. And Mabel, i love that, i agree it should be the stitcher's blessing or something.

Agi, you caught my thought exactly, couldn't have said it better myself! Mabel, you have a way with words that are just as inspiring as your creative designing.

I'm glad the words seem to strike a chord :-) -- perhaps I ought to stitch it in Celtic letters like one of those Irish blessings (as it was inspired by Carol's Celtic Autumn that would be rather fitting, wouldn't it!)

I think we should definitely adopt your words Mabel.

Not much stitching today, as at work, hopefully some tonight, see how tired I am!

Managed to do a little more on this last night, hoping to do some more tonight, then will take photo to show week 1 progress - it will be intereting to see my project grow this way, have never kept a record before.
