Cross Stitch Software

Post by Bonnie »

Hi All, I just found this site and joined up this morning. I have XS for years, and just getting back into it. I would like to purchase a XS software, been looking at the Pattern Maker and the PC Stitch 10 (Pro). I would like one that is easy to understand and follow. Some softwares are so difficult to use. Does anyone have any preferences on either one? One is about $40.00 more than the other. Mostly want to do XS of my grandchildren, has anyone used either software to do photographs? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to all the tips, tricks and help from this site.

Thank you,
Bonnie

Bonnie if you look in the Tips and Tricks section of the forum you will see a whole bunch of reviews from members about different software it should give you a good idea what we all like. It is toward the top of the page when you get to that section.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror

I prefer PC Stitch Pro over Pattern Maker any day...I used to use Pattern Maker and it just was not worth the money. It hasn't updated either for years from my understanding. PC Stitch Pro though is constantly getting upgrades and new features. It is easier to use for converting photos into patterns as well. You just need to understand what the options are for converting!

There are some tips and tricks for converting photos into cross stitch found in the tips and tricks sections of this forum!
