I'm currently stitching pages 8 & 9 of HAED's Angel with Iris by Nadia Strelkina. Rather than finish page 8, I jumped to the top of page 9 at the request of my husband, who wanted to see her face finished. The face was completed yesterday, though I'm sure it will look better when the surrounding stitching is completed. Since she's still on the Q-Snaps, I'm posting 2 pics: one of pages 1-7 and a second showing work on pages 8-9.

lovely face and lovely stitching. Your parked threads look like strands of hair. very 3D. Great update. I am looking forward to your next updates.

What a beautiful design . She looks so serene and Carole, you're so right - the parked strands look just like hair!! I'm looking forward to seeing how you get on with this. It looks absolutely choc a block full of confetti!
Very nice!! I agree with the question about keeping track of the threads! They look similar enough in color that I think I would screw it up immediately.
Oh my word! If those were my threads every single on would have a knot in it - you should have an award for just stitching like that! well done hun! I love the colours of this design, so so pretty
Thank you so much for your comments! As you can see in the picture of the finished piece below, her hair is quite long, and the parked threads you see will be stitched as such. I park threads by bringing the thread where the next stitch of that color appears in the rows below. There is so much confetti in this piece that I'd constantly be starting and finishing threads if I did not park. Fortunately there are some pages in her wings and gown that do have huge blocks of easy stitching. Still, it will take some time before she's done. Theresa
