Hi All,

Sorry for the absence but I've been busy on a few fronts! My real estate business is very busy, we have listed and sold our own home (first showing and full offer - see what happens when you listen to your realtor lol) and doing some sweat labour at our new home The amount of cleaning in a newly built house is almost overwhelming. Every surface must be washed and dryed. My, but I hate house cleaning. Three days with two other women to help and we are almost finished! Anyway, any spare moments have been devoted to cross stitching and not talking here. I'm sure most stitchers would understand :). Anywho, this is what I have been stitching on. It's a sal by http://www.le-petit-monde-de-manue.com/" target="_blank" target="_blank I intend to make a sleeve to hold recycled plastic bags ( they are banned where I live and worthy to keep!) These are the first two steps.

Congrats on the new place and selling your own house! Very cute stitching.. what do you mean the bags are banned? You can't use them? Or you don't get them in stores?

I have a finish! I restitched my Prairie Schooler Cat on 32 count lambswool linen with recommended DMC floss. I really didn't like him on the aida fiddler. I really like the linen. Tried to finish and post for April Fool's (poisson d'avril). Have a great day everyone!

Plastic bags are not given by stores. We have to carry our own shopping bags (try that at Christmas time!) Only our liquor stores give out plastic bags. IT was very difficult to get use too, I'm still forgetting to take bags with me lol.

:applesauce: I love all these but the lill cat is especially cute lol
they are encouraging us to reuse our own bags now (I am in the uk) but while they still give them out many many folks won't be bothered but I prefer the stronger jute bags and they don't rip and drop your shopping everywhere half way home.

:applesauce: Love the cat. Too cute! :applesauce:

We still can get plastic and paper bags in the grocery and plastic most everywhere else, but I have about 6 cloth ones (from different stores) as I find it much easier to get into the house. Hate the plastic but I save them and take them to the Habitat for Humanity Restore where I volunteer as we use those so they are being recycled in a way.
