Monkey Baby in the Jungle - Now Finished 08/06/12

Post by stdenny »

I got most of the threads yesterday and I just started doing the Monkey Baby in the jungle and it's not much to see seeing I only started this morning. lol. I hope you can see the sparkles on the fabric and unfortunately the green fabric didn't show on the photo. I'm using 3 strands as it states on the chart to use 3 strands for 28ct but I'm doing it on 14ct aida. I experimented with 4 strands and thought it was a bit too bulky but the coverage with 3 is pretty good. I'm hoping it doesn't take long to complete.

This is what it will look like when completed. http://www.patternsonline.com/Patterns/Pat.aspx?P=2168" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank

Thanks for all the comments. :) I have now done the face of the wee baby so I thought you might like to see it. :) I will probably do the monkey suit next. That might take a while what with all the lovely browns. lol. I have experiment with the camera settings and it's a pretty good representation of the farbic and stitches.

As you can see, I have completed most of the monkey's head and started on the leaves. The colours are completely different than what is showing on the finished picture. They are lighter. so that makes me pauses a lot when stitching cos I keep thinking I used the wrong thread colour. lol.
