Engagement photo: Updated 6/9/12

Now that my HEAD is done, I need a new project. I wanted one with big bright colors because my other largish project, the cats stitching, has so much brown and tan and beige.

Luckily, my sister-in-law and her fiancé wore super bright colors for their engagement photos! I decided to stitch one of their pics as a belated wedding present.

Their wedding is actually in two days -- my husband just flew out of town today to go to the wedding, but I'm still stuck here on bed rest and hopefully NOT going into labor while he's gone.

This is also the first project I've done using the MacStitch software. All my previous photo-to-stiching has been done using Stitchtastic and I'm excited to give the new software a go.

I'm doing 2 ply on 14-count Aida; the final piece will be roughly 8"x10".

Those are nice, bright colors! Sorry that you have to miss the celebration But it looks like you've found something GOOD to do with your time on bedrest! I can't wait to see your start!

what a great picture. I have MacStitch also, but havent' really used it the way I wanted to and then got hooked on the HAEDs, but one day. Its fun to use. It's too bad that you couldn't go to the wedding, but you do have lots to look forward to. Stitching this ought to help pass the time. I'm looking forward to your updates.

Oh my, what a lovely photo! I'm sure that your sister-in-law will absolutly love their present. I am amazed at how quickly it's coming together,you are making a very good job of it.
