Is it just me?

Post by coffee_freak »

Ok I have three qsnaps..one has my cupcake piece in it, one has my fairy in it, and the smaller one sits empty since I have finished what was in it.

I don't like seeing and empty qsnap and I'm seriously trying to resist the urge to kit up a small to put in it so it doesn't sit there all empty and sad.

is it just me being crazy or does anyone else not liking seeing an empty qsnap, scroll frame, or hoop? @rotfl:

I don't like empty qsnaps or hoop so my qsnaps are full but I have way too many hoops to have something in each of them, and I do take some of mine out of the hoops when I am not working on them. But you sound incredibly sane to me. But then I'm a stitcher also, and things that sound reasonable to us, don't always sound reasonable to the rest of the world. My advice is to full your q snap and make it and you happy. :D

I can well imagine how empty that Q snap must look so go for it and kit something up and I am sure that it makes total sense to any stitcher. My floor stand used to glare at me as it sat there waiting for me to get my roller frames fixed so I could use them. Now its right as it has my JE one in it and is in use.

Enjoy whatever you are going to put into that more lonely little Q snap.

My floor stand was standing empty over Christmas and it was put downstairs so it wouldn't be "in the way" while everyone was here. The poor thing looked so forlorn and neglected. I was very happy when I brought it back up Jan 1st to put on the Q snaps and start my wolves.

So, if you are crazy, then I am too! :D

I sympathise with you, and this is one of the reasons why I keep my many hoops safely tucked away where I can't see them, so I'm not tempted :-)

I don't have any empty frames, all 3 of my easy snaps have project on them and my hoop has a project my daughter is doing on it at the moment, i did think of getting another frame but would then need something to put on it.

That is so true. Makes me feel quite bad about all those empty hoops sitting there in their box....

To make up for it, I've got one hoop and one frame set up, and am about to set up another one, plus I need to set something up for the Papillon SAL although I may just stitch that in hand (sorry hoops...)

I know the feeling.
For me its not empty hoops that make me
rather it's having empty project folders that I want to fill up.

I keep everything together in plastic zip top folder envelopes from the office supply store. When I am kitting a project, or copying patterns- all the bits and pieces I am gathering goes into the folder. Waiting and ready for me to start. When I empty a folder- I look for what I can fill it with next.

That qsnap is not living up to it's potential. You don't want to be accused of negligence in not providing that qsnap the opportunity to be all that it can be. Load it up with a small project and stitch away. The qsnap will be so happy! :ratherbe:
