Looking for a long, thin, cross-stitch patter

Post by GaPeach »

I have a wall between two windows in my living room where I would like to put a cross-stitch picture. However, I am looking for something that is more based on art, rather than a true picture. The thing is that I need a pattern that is long and thin. Any ideas out there?

If you have a design you like, you might consider stitching half of it, or a third of the width. It can be effectful when you don't see the whole picture. If it is a flower for example, the brain will add what is not there and still be able to see a whole flower.

I have seen floral charts that is long and thin.... off of the top of my head there is one called, "Red rose, white rose". I will try to find out where you can get the chart if u want it. It is a freebies, that I can remembered.

Or what about something geometric like a fractal. Not sure how long they are, but you could just take sections of them instead of doing the whole pattern. They also have bookmark sets.
