So I'm half way done stitching my Chinese Zodiac so I decided to start work on painting the frames. I've had fun looking for paint colors and stencils. It's opened my eyes to a whole new craft world out there.
For my first frame I wanted to try a plaid design, but since I don't know what I'm doing it didn't really turn out like I expected. It looks more like tire tracks. Because of that I'm not sure I'll use it for the one I had in mind. I tested out some of my other finished ones to see which one it would look good with and I think I've made a match. But you'll have to wait until I get them all framed up.
Here is my first frame (and no, I didn't paint all over my dining room table. I taped waxed paper to the table to protect it.)

I think it looks like a wide plaid. not like tire tracks at all. Can't wait to see which one goes in the frame. What fun it must be. I hope painting frames isn't going to take you from stitching for very long, though.
