Cut Thru' Fairy Hill For My Daughter's Room

Post by WonkyWitch »

I've been attempting to sew the Cut Thru' Fairy Hill by Bothy Threads for my daughter ever since she was born three years ago. I did make some progress but with the arrival of my baby boy last year, my stitching progress slowed down somewhat.

Now I have goal!!!! My daughter is moving into her new room within the next couple of months and I'm determined to finish it for her!!

Here's my progress so far! :)

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: You've done loads already. I just love these cut thru' series (I have 3 kits in my stash 'ready to go'!!! ). Good to see you doing the backstitch as you go - there's an awful lot of it to bring out the detail!!

I love these designs but don't have anyone to stitch them for really, so it's nice to see one on here! I admire anyone who stitches one of these cut thru's, all that backstitch would drive me insane!

That is just such an ideal one for a little girl's room and you have got a fair way into it as well. As Carole says, "keep posting progress and we will cheer you on"
Well done with your lovely even stitching and remember its one stitch at a time gets us there.

Looking lovely. When this is done you'll have to choose a cut thru for your little boys room!

Now there's a decision.... I really want to sew him a cut' thru but not sure whether to do the castle or the pirate ship! :)

I may wait until he's a bit older and can talk so that he can choose which one he likes! :)

We've been busy beavers in our household. My daughter's new room has now been fully plastered and the first coat of paint is on the walls which means I really need to speed up my stitching if I'm to have the picture ready for her room in time! :)

Here's my latest progress on the cut thru' fairy hill - I've mostly been working on the "mud" part which came together pretty quickly (for obvious reasons) and I just need to finish off the green to complete this page on the chart!

Image

After this, I think it's time to tackle some more of that backstitching...wish me luck! :)
