Another small one I am working on. Finished so far but one detail still missing. The second picture will follow very soon. And after that I can start on the other one of Natural light as there are 2 different designs.

This is a charming little pic - but I have been switching between one and the other to figure out where the rainbow stitching fits in - and I can't see for the life of me! There doesn't look to be enough spaces in the basic stitching to fit in all the rainbow stitches as well!

I think the rainbow is 1 thread on top of the others or something like that, because it's not opaque where it was added, you can still see the background behind the colors (which is more realistic than an opaque rainbow).

That's right CuriousKitty, the rainbow is indeed stitched in 1 thread, and half cross stitches, on top of the already stitched crosses of the clouds, landscape in the background en water. This to make the rainbow look real. I now work on the second Natural light chart that has sunlight breaking through clouds stitched in the same way. I like this way of stitching a lot. Never seen it before tho so I could hardly wait to start stitching them when I purchased the charts!
These are lovely designs and you've stitched the first one beautifully Margreet . I didn't realise they came as separate charts, as I have them in a copy of Mary Hickmott's New Stitches magazine. I fell in love with them when I saw them then, and after seeing you stitch the first one up, they've now moved onto the 'to do' list!!!. I'm looking forward to seeing the second design stitched up too.
