I've made a start on my New York project.


And, in the grand scheme of things!


I am a little disappointed that I'm not enjoying this one as much as I thought I would. I'm not a lover of stitching vertical lines, and that's all this one has been so far. I'm also getting fed up with grey! I am impressed with the coverage though, I didn't expect it to look so good with 1 over 2. The fabric is going to be one creased mess by the time I've finished this, just don't know what to do with all the excess! I'm currently trying a q snap cover.

So I was considering doing a small something to break it up a bit, when HAED released this..........

I'm sorry you're not having as much fun as you hoped. Maybe things will change once you move on to a different building. The bottom portion does look much more colorful.

I think this is a great start and once you get into the other parts it should be more fun. Kind of like all the black I have to do on my LOTR but when I see colors starting to show it is a lot more fun. Rotations help a lot in being able to switch around so that nothing gets too tedious on the big projects.

Sorry you're not feeling the love for this piece - it is looking stunning though! Good idea to start a rotation, I find it helpful when working on larger pieces to swap around, it helps to get over the stitching slumps you have on certain pieces!

I think you will get into again ,dont forget that you have hundreds of charts so you can be constantly rotating your work lol I now have seahorse framed and back working on mermaid , new phone as well after my little accident ! dogs is looking great already nice bit of full bodied colour

It looks like you've accomplished quite a bit... I think your dislike of vertical stitching combined with the dullness of grey requires something to perk your stitchy bug up when needed
