Thanku Genevieve!

I didn't belong to any forum on any subject, but thought I'd take the plunge with this one.

I've been really underwhelmed with my recent stitching projects until just recently when I completed my first beaded (Mirabilia) project. Having done that, plus some internet trawling, I realised there are some fabulous charts out there, so am about to embark on a great Theresa Wentzler project on Polstitches fabric. I can't wait, this will be way more ambitious than anything I have done to date but I feel it is a challenge I am ready for. (My friends think I am so sad to be excited about my stitching!!)

Oh, I'm based in Herts, UK.

Hello Slinky and welcome.

You have picked the right forum to join - we are a very friendly bunch here :D
Do join in and we'd love to see pictures.

Yes, there are loads of patterns to be had, free or otherwise, on the internet - I could spend hours just looking  I think TW is a little beyond me though.

Welcome Slinky, as has been said, this is the perfect place (at least I thnk so) to make stitching friends. I hope you'll join in with your Mirabilia (have one of her charts but haven't started) and your current TW (also a big fan of hers). Looking forward to seeing your work.

Welcome Slinky. None of my friends stitch either but coming on here has been fabulous. Everyone is helpful, friendly and enthusiastic about whatever we choose to stitch. I think you can't ask for a better forum to join!

Welcome from the West of Scotland. Designs really have changed hugely over the years: there's so much choice, and we are all going to have to live almost forever to stitch all the pieces which catch our eyes. *sigh*

Jump right in, and don't worry about anything. We are friendly, love virtual parties (and probably real ones, too), and love newbies. There are very few rules... because we're all so good!

Oooh my boyfriend's down in Herts (I think it's Herts) He lives in Potters bar/Hatfield depending on the day of the week And my Best friend is in Bedford. It's really flat down there.

But anyways, welcome to the forum from way up North in Yorkshire ^_^

Don't worry, you found the right forum,we don't think you're sad...in fact we'll be right here getting excited with you ^_^ Pull up a comfy stitching chair and I hope to see you around and get to know you a little better ^_^
