The design came from a DMC Light Effect booklet:

What I didn't notice when I started the bookmark was that the design is by Joan Elliott!
I did end up using the DMC light effects floss, but at least I had already read on this forum that it's hard to work with, so I just tried to be patient.
After I finished the bookmark, I realized that read books on my Kindle now instead of a paper copy, so now I don't know what to do with the bookmark! Guess it shows times have changed. I decided to send it to my Mom with her Mother's Day card.
BTW - I got curious as to whether there were e-book covers available to cross-stitch, and did find this blank one: http://www.onlinestitchkits.com/catalog ... 194996.htm. Unfortunately, I have a newer (smaller) Kindle, so the cover is too big. Looks like most of the kits are for needlepoint.
I'm finding a sense of relief as I finish these old WIPs. Hope you enjoyed the finishing despite the light effects floss.
