I decided I better make sure I put the year in the updates because its going to take years for me to finish my projects. This is a new start (as if I needed one) which was really whining at me to get done. This is what it will look like, hopefully.

I'm stitching it on 25 ct antique white lugana 1 over 1 full crosses. Working on a rotating schedule of sorts really helped me to put this one away after a little more than 10 hours. I loved working on it. Even though there isn't any color yet, I can tell the stone in the background is already looking as it should.
I did have help when kitting it up. She is sitting on the floss chart making it a little difficult to get the right bobbins.

She did some lap time, but preferred being the center of attention by plopping down in front of the chart and making googoo eyes.

The first update. Not much and even though there isn't a lot of confetti yet, there is enough that it seemed slow to me.

Oh dear Laverne, she is such a ham as well as a 'helper'. A good start on such a lovely one.

Did me good to see Madame Laverne, HM has got the sulks and I didn't see him at all yesterday or last night. I managed to persuade him to come in this morning but when I came out of the kitchen with something for him he had gone again.
He had wanted to come to my bed a couple of nights ago but as my light was out Jenny didn't open the door - guess this staying out is payback??? Sweet things our feline friends aren't they.

I can understand you being ready for your bright dragon colours.

I am so impressed w/how far you've gotten in 10hrs. I'm still on my SK and have begun the 3rd 10hr stretch, and I'm no where near as far along as you!

My niece who loves cats and has two of them danced all through high school. She was Clara in the Nutcracker Suite when she was about 13 or 14 I think. She still,loves it but recognizes that she doesn't have the talent to.pusue it professionally, though she very well,may do something in the management side eventually (I think). She is a junior in college now (doing a semester at Oxford right now - I'm a proud Auntie) and if I get this done before she gets married and has her first child (no where near that point yet, so I have time) it will be a gift for her.

Another beautiful piece Carole, so envious of your new start - can't seem to stop being strict with myself on that front, too much of a control freak! It seems to have Laverne's stamp of approval too - always a blessing! Looking forward to seeing Dragon Riders now.........
