Mirabilia Mid Summer's Night Dream Fairy *UPDATED May 22*

Post by LastingAllure »

I have been away for a while (Sorry!!) I have been creeping the forums recently though and thought to pick up my Mirabilia Mid Summer's Night Dream Fairy. I have been working on her for almost 3 years now. With the giant Q-Snap frame I have now though it is making working on her SOOOOO much easier and faster, I am not constantly flopping the fabric. Here she is so far:

Image

I did most of the purple ribbon that is draping down yesterday. My mom is calling me her Sheldon (From the Big Bang Theory) because I feel lost with my brother staying for the week and is using the couch I cross stitch on as his bed and he has taken over the spot for TV watching and playing video games.  He went away for the night which meant I could swoop in and do some stitching while he was away :D I just can't get comfortable anywhere else...or it feels weird.

I am working on the matching fairy to go with this, Titania The Queen of the Fairies. I have seen them as a matched pair and I love it. Also thinking of doing Lilly of the Woods since she would be a nice pairing with MidSummer's Night Dream Fairy with them both sitting in branches.

Wow that is so beautiful and I just love the unusual colours of this one. Your fabric is gorgeous too and fits so well with the Fairy.

:applesauce: :applesauce: Great update and I am looking forward to seeing more of her

You have made a great start on it they are such lovely colours to work with and the lovely sparkly wings look so pretty when you get to them.

I have this one almost finished another of my UFO's it is next on my list to finish :) I also have the same one as you to make a pair, all kitted up and ready to start.

Will follow your SAL with interest

Well feel free to show your progress in the thread if you like! I would love to see someone else working on it as well :) I just LOVE Mirabilia's I have about 6 already kitted up and ready to be done hehe. I have finished one so far but that was just sitting and working for 3 weeks straight until she was complete. I can become OCD and obsessed when it comes to a project haha.

Oh I have stitchy spots planned out at every house I normally go to for some relaxation. At my aunties its in the big blue comfy chair because it has the most lighting and at my nan's its in the chair in the corner or at the head of the dinning room table  Everyone knows its best to let me just sit in my spots or I will be constantly getting up and wondering around aimlessly trying out different spots....my mom just laughs at me.

But come Saturday I will have my spot back :D

I tried working a little more on the stitching today but I just couldn't get motivated upstairs. Then I put the stitching down for dessert so I put it on the back of the couch propped up against the wall in its frame (Safest spot upstairs to keep a project this size) and my sister came to sit on the couch, knocked it down so she picked it up and tried laying it on the dinning room table that hadn't been wiped down yet from dinner    I couldn't believe she almost did that, she jumped so high when I said "DON'T YOU EVEN DARE!!" This is another reason I need my spot back, then I have a safe spot on the couch to prop my work up while I go and do things upstairs knowing that no one is touching my threads or moving my projects to dirty areas.
