Well, it is finished or rat her I thought it was til I just oticed a bit of back stitching I have missed off.
I am going to have a go at stretching and framing it myself. Just waiting for the mount and mat to arriv e that I have ordered pre-cut.
The name and date is not perfect and in my pre-cancer days I would not have given it as a gift but now days things are different.
Sorry it is sideways. When you click on it it is the right way up., Not sure what I have done wrong!
It is fantastic and is right side up when I look at it. I can tell because the giraffe and the name are both how I think they should be. It is lovely and I don't know how you think it should look. It is a great gift. I can't wait to see it framed.

Thanks Carole and Jo. Picture seems to have righted itself now!
Am quite nervous about stretching it andlasing the back but someone recently, think it was Mabel, described how they do it so thought I would have a go.
Then I can't wait to get back to my 10 hourly rotation.
I think it looks great Liz and will make a lovely gift! You are braver than I am re the framing so I am even more impressed! I gave my LK to my sister to frame as she's framed her own work quite a few times using pre-cut mounts and customs frames and I've only just taken my first piece to be professionally framed this past week (not very far away from you as it happens!). I hope you post a pic of it all framed!

Well here it is all finished. Unfortunately I had a mat cut for it but we couldn't shut the frame up because it was too bulky so have had to leave it out. #
Now for confession time - I had real trouble lacing it and had a bit of a tanttrum with it so my wonderful man did it for me while I was out at work. Never seen him do anything crafty so am mightily impressed.

Absolutely agree.

Looks great in the frame, Liz . Kudos to your man on doing the lacing too - mine wouldn't have a clue. If I asked him to lace something I'd probably end up with whisky in my cup of tea
